The Ironhide allows right or lefthand carry by unsnapping the holster from the belt slide moving the belt slide to a different location on the belt reversing the retention strap and reattaching the holster. The Ironhide secures the pistol with a combination of hand molding and a reversible retention strap with a glovefriendly polymer tab. Release the strap and the pistol is cleared for a fast smooth draw. The retention strap accommodates both hammerdown and cockedandlocked carry on 1911type pistols.
