The X version has a newly designed apex with a rosette connector for SAX rifle heads AND a 38 mounting screw to attach any standard 38 head. The rosette connector provides an extremely stable connection between the tripods apex and the base of the head. The angle stop design has also been improved from the standard pull tab to a knurled bar which allows the user to adjust the angles with only one hand as opposed to two.
