Minnesota Trapline Trappers Wax is a specially formulated, white trap wax that is essential for trappers seeking to maintain and prepare their steel traps for both land and water trapping. This non-cracking, odorless wax dries clear, ensuring it doesn't alter the appearance of your traps while providing a protective coating. It is recommended for all steel traps as it prevents rust and minimizes disturbances in the trap set area. The wax is highly flammable and must be handled with care; it should be heated to around 230 degrees Fahrenheit. If it starts smoking, the temperature is too high and should be reduced. Traps should be dipped clean in the wax for about 20-30 seconds to achieve optimal coating.
